Collection Spring/Summer 2008 'The Carrousel of Dreams' While walking through the morning mist The Mada van Gaans spring/summer 2008 collection is inspired by the idyllic world of the ‘Cheval Noir’ and its intriguing women, as drawn by the Japanese illustrator Aya Kato. Kato’s work is strongly refined and full of inspiring details, yet also shows a whimsical and ‘Art Nouveau’ touch. Mada van Gaans’s collection combines youthfulness with a highly feminine Touch and a divine mix between luxury and comfort. The crochet decorations with their humorist reference to mid- fifteenth century hairstyles are a co-operation between Mada van Gaans and Dezibelle. The knitwear necklaces are designed by Julie Coste. |
